Full Moon 01 04 2015: Cancer and going Deeper

Full Moon January 04, 2015 @ 14 deg. 31 min. Cancer 11:53 p.m. EST 08:53 p.m. PST

There is nothing you can see that is not a flower; there is nothing you can think that is not the moon. ~Matsuo Basho, 17th century poet

full moon chart 1 4 15Last year began with a New Moon in Capricorn literally the opposite to how this year begins with a Full Moon in Cancer. 2014 began with the energy and influence of Saturn
immersed in Scorpio leading a chart intent upon peeling away and finding the essential ‘structure’ beneath. With Saturn in trine aspect to Black Moon Lilith conjunct Jupiter we could not help but examine the hand that rocks the cradle, questioning the role of the hand; aware of its function and therefore free of its influence.

The new cycle includes liberation from dependency. And now we approach 2015 from an emotionally more mature place with greater awareness of our motivations. In the dawning of a new year we are treated to a realization via the moon in its own sign of Cancer as it opposes the sun and squares the north and south node; that the ‘path’ to unity (north node in Libra), and beyond suffering is through recognition of the completeness of the individual self (south node in Aries) and in need of nothing external to Self as Self is everything.

The deep feeling nature of Cancer as it ‘sees’ via the inherent confident knowing of Capricorn provides a glimpse of Reality that offers ultimate security as there is nothing missing and there is nothing to do that will alter this Reality. Meanwhile it is observed that everything else changes and is temporary.

The potential is for becoming flexible and flowing with the innate rhythm that permeates all things. Gratitude for being here to witness and experience everything that occurs and for the awareness that arises as a result of surrender. Surrender that is a result of no longer being convinced that I am right. (based on the 5th harmonic of this Full Moon chart that has 6 planets in mutable signs including the sun/moon). The potential is going with the flow.

The test is taking the initiative to step forward in this authenticity and to shrug off the tendency for repetitive expression based on the past. In this moment there is only this reality. In this moment everything exists simultaneously as an expression of the Absolute: def.= free of external references or relationships, not limited in any way. The test is in letting go.

The service is through persistence, maintenance, single minded focus and determination to uphold that which has been gained. To deepen the roots of knowing and share the wisdom that resides in abundance in the heart of our being. (based on the 9th harmonic chart where the sun/moon are in fixed signs). The service is in Being.

The harmonic charts are a slice of the natal chart that are arrived at by division of 360 degrees by 5=72 deg. The septile aspect, 7=51.4—deg. The quintile aspect, 9=40 deg. The novile aspect.

At 14 degrees Cancer this Full Moon is influenced by the star Sirius at the same location, the brightest star in the heavens. Sirius has a long history as a navigational point and by its rising just before the sun, a precursor of the flooding of the Nile. What is it we are being guided toward and what abundance will be the result of this journey? To answer this question consider the role of the outer planets in this chart. At 12 or 13 degrees they promote freedom, independence and awakening (Uranus 12 deg. Aries), elimination and transformation (Pluto 13 deg. Capricorn conjunct the sun) and healing (Chiron 13 deg. Pisces) as they aspect directly the Sun/Moon axis.

This is not new of course, the square for example between Uranus and Pluto has just occurred for the 6th time. The 7th and last aspect is in March of this year. These planets have an ongoing relationship of evolving consciousness the results of which are evident in Truth arising.

Neptune, the planet that urges one to go deeper and creates apparent confusion in relation to ordinary reality is at 5 degrees Pisces and in this Full Moon chart opposes Black Moon Lilith and conjuncts the point of fortune.

What this means is discovering the Truth that lies beneath the fear (Black Moon Lilith) of our own nature; in some way confronting the fear of annihilation. This is our greatest desire and where we will find greatest fulfillment (point of fortune). With the BML in Virgo, the objective is to realize one self as perfect or absolute, not in need of anything; that is a dualistic objective, attaining what we think we lack. Neptune stands as the mirror in this opposition, ‘you are not what you appear to be’. In other words you are not your mind/body but that which is when all else has been defined. The nebulous quality of Neptune results from the minds inability to comprehend its meaning which lies beyond relative experience.

The opposition of Neptune and BML is squared by Saturn at 1 degree Sagittarius so that focus and determination are added to a desire to know Self. There is no fear or hesitancy with Saturn in Sagittarius but rather a persistent calling to show up in authenticity. Old patterns of authoritarianism are replaced with a longing to disseminate Truth and share the light. The arrow that Sagittarius directs upward has the potential to illuminate as it crosses the skies and expands our vision. This supported by Mercury, Venus and Mars in Aquarius the sign of freedom and enlightenment. How we think and communicate, what we want and how we act become communal or collectively centered. Personal acquisition makes little sense. We open up even more to this experience as one with everything and in the big picture find peace in knowing it is all Love. Deep abidance in the heart confirms this.

During these several days before and after this Full Moon in Cancer express gratitude for the guidance you receive, the abundance that is everywhere in your life and the gift of being here with open eyes!

Thank you and blessings for this amazing life.

2015: The year of Mastery!

Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person. ~Albert Einstein

8 strength tarot 01 01 15

The topic for 2015 is mastery! = number 8. Last year, a 7, was a string of tests and challenges presented by Saturn as it proceeded through Scorpio focusing on the ‘nitty gritty’. What is revealed is the bare bones of the individual self; what is driving us home at this time. Whatever is the next step in the unfolding, we do that with mastery!

The 8th major arcana card of the tarot deck is Strength. It exudes calm confidence as many tests have already been successfully completed. The taming of the beast puts one in a place of no longer being controlled by the ’ego’, free to create in the moment unencumbered by patterns based on the past. The clearest representation of this symbol is found in the classic Rider-Waite deck. The card is a simple illustration of the mastery of an aspect of human nature requiring integration and balancing in a non forceful way.

Saturn moved into Sagittarius on the 23rd of December! We are on the way to disciplined but bold and determined expression of truth, wisdom and authenticity! However, considering the often unyielding nature of Saturn we should be prepared also for the continued assertion of beliefs that still motivate various cultures and organizations. In Sagittarius is a surety that can promote radical behaviour for the sake of the cause. Mastery of self that leads to awareness of Self and the subsequent dissipation of suffering.

Mindfulness that we create with clarity and re-engaging the power of discernment so that the individual is freed to make decisions that serve the highest good. Though this is the year of the ‘sheep’ we will not be led. We are talking about the ferocity and determination of the mountain goat, the big horned sheep that perch confidently on even the narrowest ledge. Successful in business and community cohesiveness. If you choose confrontation you will find your self butting heads with the wind. Therefore establish no mind, aikido mind and dance with the Self.

The topic for 2015 is Love—there is nothing else—and you as an individual expression of that, nothing more, nothing less.

So what about love? Now we come to the deepest mystery…Always unconditionally there is love. When this is seen, even the most ordinary moment becomes vividly alive. ~Richard Sylvester

What we ‘do’ with that expression is the most natural thing possible. It is not possible to not be a natural expression of that. To say that I seek to know my ‘true’ self is impossible. This is it, in this moment now. As Richard Sylvester says, “We want what is with a cherry on top.” The cherry is a representation of the ego exerting itself. It is a complete redundancy. I know this to be everything but I want more?

In the meantime we traverse the moment on our way to realization of this Truth and the glorious sense of freedom resulting from knowing there is nothing that I need do to make anything happen. We stop suffering.

In suffering, I am something. In understanding, I am nothing.
In love, I am everything. ~Rupert Spira

So what are we doing here? Knowing liberation, savoring every step toward complete liberation. Every time ‘I act’ in authenticity and awareness “I’ experience freedom. Realizing it adds to this sense until there is no awareness of any difference between anything and another thing. It is aware, awake and love.

Do we continue to create a story here? Yes, until we are no longer dependent upon that story. What is it about 2015 that might seemingly further us in awakening to seamless existence? The ability to master the chaos or illusion is strong this year. Each individual has the potential to step out of self judgment and insecurity to fully embrace the gifts and talents that most serve this individual and in turn the collective. Effective leadership and conscious interaction determine a more balanced and peaceful way of engaging here.

We will see that nothing stands still and that therefore there is nothing to which we can attach our selves or that whatever we are attached to has little meaning in the evolving landscape. The recognition that really, nothing has meaning is a beautiful introduction to a road less traveled perhaps, but none the less one that has called to all of us throughout our experience here. When it is the only call one hears we add our footprints to those who eventually gain great clarity and the opportunity to reflect this light to others. 2015 is therefore, also a call to those who teeter on the edge of this Reality; to gather the light and dispel the chaos. The major arcana card that depicts this notion is the 20th card Judgment.

judgment 01 01 15

The souls rising from the coffin have heard the angelic trumpets sounded and once this has occurred there is no turning back. The rhythm that is our essence is felt increasingly, impelling us to deeper and deeper realization that happens now as the natural outcome of deleting all ‘clothing’ from days, weeks, years and centuries gone by. There is a moment of rejoicing as one comes into head on collision with that which we have most desired—liberation from the illusion—we have awoken! Every year is a grand year in which to experience illumination. 2015 however has the highly advantageous position of following upon all that has been accomplished before.

In love, mastery and wisdom greet the sunrise of this day! And blessings for inner peace.

The angel for 2015 is Araquiel: master of earth.
The color is silver/lemon.
The elements are fire and ice.

The turning point February 8th.

New Moon 12.21.2014 and Winter Solstice! Rebirth.

New Moon 12.21.14 @ 0 degrees 6 minutes Capricorn 8:35 p.m. EST 5:35 p.m. PST
and Winter Solstice. The magic of the absence of moonlight announcing rebirth.

Definition, rationality, and structure are ways of seeing, but they become prisons when they blank out other ways of seeing. ~A. R. Ammons (Mars and south node in Capricorn)

new moon chart 12 21 2014

The final New Moon of 2014 is our chance to complete, in the sanctity of inner quiet, whatever we have become aware of this year that we do not wish to carry over into the new year; bits of the crumbling structure that we have chipped away at for ‘awhile’ still in need of a little nudge over the edge. As stated several times over this last year, we have had plenty of help in this undertaking from the Uranus/Pluto ongoing square and Saturn in Scorpio—persistent energy moving us toward waking up and greater awareness. Ultimately a kinder attitude toward one another—family, friends and those with whom we may have differences.

Children are being supported to deliver their message and we, the current adult population are ready to listen. Children have a vision and will be encouraged to express that vision by all of us interested in ways of thinking that elude the older generations. This New Moon in Capricorn bestows a sense of responsibility to ‘the vision’ as we have not experienced before; fresh ideas, unique and unlimited by old beliefs.

“When children and youth are seen as partners in development their participation fosters
ownership and empowerment to contribute to their own well-being and that of society as a whole. (from the World Vision website: The role of children in the post-2015 Development Agenda)

As this is also the winter solstice and symbolic for rebirth throughout history and various cultures perhaps we all have an opportunity to embrace the inner child and arise, unencumbered by conditioned response or reaction. Mars the active force and representing the direction in which our energy flows during these few days prior to and following the new Moon is in freedom loving Aquarius at the point of the bow that would launch into awakening—beyond the known world and into the mysterious and vast unknown. On either side of Mars is Chiron, the healer and Venus/Pluto that is discussed subsequently as the focus of transforming the material desire nature. In opposition to Mars is the Black Moon Lilith that we know as the point at which we recognize the true Self. Mars leading the way ignites our passion to know the true Self and so migrate to inner peace. This supported by the healing of our wounds and less focus upon what we think we want or need here to be okay.

With Saturn at 29 degrees 48 minutes Scorpio this is the final curtain call to scrutinize and eliminate the deep, old collective patterns that restrict and bind us to servitude—serving the ego. We work with these aspects in relation to the blueprint we were given upon entrance. And though it may sound complicated it is quite simple. If you wish to scale a mountain there is a single rope that dangles in front of you—the only means by which to reach the top—you may veer a foot or two to one side or the other looking for the best foot hold but the rope remains the constant source for your ascent.

The final New Moon is a time to clarify the vision you have for the coming year. With Pluto, the planet of power, elimination and transformation conjunct Venus the ruler of desire and relating there will be a honing of what we perceive to be important. In some cases getting to the bare bones of what motivates us will be the driving force at this time.
For others realizing that old patterns influence us in ways that are limiting is just as profound. Wherever this combination shows up in your chart there will be a deep need to purge one self of dependence in favor of authenticity.

It would be impossible to avoid the showering of light that we are receiving from planet Uranus (it is everywhere) that, squaring Pluto and Venus, impels us to throw open the shutters and receive this gift. Suddenly it is realized that focusing on the minutia for a really, really long time we have managed to distract our selves from seeing the big picture. The distraction has been the reality whilst the Reality, always right here, has gone unnoticed except for the vague desire for something I long for but, as of yet, have not attained. (This of course in varying degrees for all of us. Not a criticism at all. It is as it is and couldn’t be more perfect!)

It must be stated also that there are five planets in Capricorn at this time—Sun, Moon, Mercury, Pluto and Venus. This has the capacity to undertake big projects and successfully complete challenging agendas. Not necessary for this to happen immediately. But with this powerful dynamic present to fully design a concept to be completed in 2015 would have considerable potential for standing out of the ordinary. Capricorn is adept at utilizing resources and creating what is of greatest service. Composers/musicians, engineers and architects for instance are often influenced by Capricorn—builders of systems, structures and rhythms.

What is your dream for 2015? What is your desire beyond the accumulation of material assets that contributes to well-being individually and collectively? Allow the inner child to engage in this process and free your self to dive into your unknown world of play and creation. No matter how many times we have dipped our toes into the pool, there is always something new awaiting us. This for the mind in stillness.

Happy celebrations and blessings for a marvelous New Year!

Full Moon 12.06.2014: last of the year

Full Moon 12.06.14 @ 14 degrees Gemini 18 min. 7:27 a.m. EST 4:27 a.m. PST

“Nature with equal mind, sees all her sons at play, sees man control the wind, the wind sweep man away.” ~Matthew Arnold (natal moon at 23 degrees Gemini)

full moon dec 2014The chart for this Full Moon in Gemini is dominated by a mutable cross. The four mutable signs are Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces. Qualities of the Mutable Cross include changeability, integration and transcendence that occur as human beings become more aware of a need that may not be satisfied by anything external to one self. It is said that, the mutable cross conditions the common herd, transforms animal man to an aspirant. Aspirant or aspiration referring to: the greatest gift we can offer the world is our aspiration for endless progress and self-perfection. Through our ascent in consciousness, the world around us ascends. (gurusoftware.com)

The planets and points involved in this Full Moon represent a rather profound movement of energy from some very old and deep fears to a place of healing, recognizing the Self as unlimited and knowing that there is no separation, God and I are one. To begin, there can be a desire to step out of the illusion that we have experienced over and over again. This arrived at through weariness of hitting one’s head against the wall repeatedly. In a grand square, that is a cross, it can seem as though we keep running into the same ‘dilemmas’ without rest, e.g. apparently being taken advantage of by other people and rarely receiving what you think you want no matter how much you give to others.

The Sun/Moon in opposition, when finally we become aware that there is nothing outside of my self that is not me or my true nature. Sun in Sagittarius, all beliefs that would limit one from knowing Truth are revealed to be products of a past that do not exist in this moment. Moon in Gemini, the emotional experience is fleeting, not deep. Memories gain little foot hold here. Feeling the moment or being aware of what is right now is facilitated by this opposition. Squaring this axis of innocence and creative expression, are Chiron, the wounded healer and the Black Moon Lilith—quite a pair! Chiron in Pisces since May 2010, focuses our attention to the wound that lies between the warp and weft of humanity. All the stories that have been told since language first emerged, have woven the fabric we experience here that has certain flaws or the potential to shroud us in illusion.

Those stories are finding fewer footholds in our consciousness. They are being recognized as stories rather than truths by which we are obligated to conduct our selves. The notion of suffering as part of the human condition has new light cast upon it. We are enjoying life in ways that we have not allowed our selves the pleasure of in centuries past. The Black Moon Lilith spurs Chiron into an expediated healing process by reflecting that our wounds so easily deny us ‘access’ to Truth. One must be brave enough to explore the depths of nothingness that BML is in order to gain freedom. BML is a point in space not a planet or an asteroid where the shadow of the moon at its furthest from the earth stops. The focal point of a shadow in dark space—our fears run rampant here and yet when we embrace the meaning of this point we see that it is an eternal place, and as it is nothing also contains everything. There is enormous light in the deepest, darkest aspect of existence.

A mutable cross, nothing sticks, the breeze is apt to cast off any notion that desires to cling or even remain stationary. We know that everything on this planet is temporary and that is not my true nature. My true nature is what remains always ‘unaffected’ by any occurrence, event or doings of any human being.

Mercury conjuncts the Sun in Sagittarius; we know the mind as servant and find mastery over thoughts. This guided by a Uranus/Mercury/Sun trine. Illumination is for all those ready to receive. Mars just into Aquarius at 1 degree; innovative, ingenious, visionary, confident utilization of energy to benefit the collective. A quintile to Uranus (72 degrees-5th harmonic, potential for human creativity) ensures the elevated expression of this Mars. Moon/Mars sesquisquare (135 degrees-a do or die aspect). Accidents will happen if we do not pay attention. Don’t get distracted! Uranus and Pluto in exact square. De-structuring continues as this square moves closer to its final square that occurs in March 2015. Uranus and Pluto both aspect the Sun/Moon emphasizing the dissolution of patterns whether we like it or not.

If we keep in mind that liberty is the final outcome none of what we appear to lose seems to have much relevance. Jupiter, growth and Saturn responsibility, squaring off in fixed signs contribute some needed practical grounding to this chart. As anchor they ensure that wisdom and discipline guide us to being here in physical reality in a way that serves all of us.

As the last Full Moon of the year let us not forget to express gratitude to our selves for the amazing persistence we have in leaving no stone unturned in our quest to know Truth. And to the synchronicities that inevitably find us in the right place at the right time to receive exactly what we need in any given moment. And to our acceptance of what is in this moment as being the perfect expression of the absolute—could not be more, better or different. May our sails be filled with the wind of change that inevitably carries us home.

December: No going back!

I can’t go back to yesterday – because I was a different person then. ~Lewis Carroll

It may seem like a dream these days that roll one into another and weeks that flit by with little to indicate their passing until the whole of 2014 is but a memory and we anticipate another new year. As time ceases to have relevance all that is left is anticipation. Then a moment, with infinite possibility greets the anticipation endlessly. The anticipation has nothing to do with any thing but the wonderment of not knowing.

December of 2014 is a month to cycle through the emotional experience of the year and see how it has placed you in perfect ‘order’ for greater success in 2015 when we shall reap ease and grace, filling our coffers with an everlasting peace. December begins with moon in Aries and therefore presents an opportunity to cycle through our emotional condition from its most primal to its most illumined in two and a third day increments, through all the signs of the zodiac until moon returns to Aries December 28th. We shift the lens of the kaleidoscope ever so slightly to attune our selves with the next perspective knowing that it too can change with just the tap of a finger. What then has permanence if not these emotional tides and patterns that seem to have existed since ‘the beginning’?

Instead of waiting for the next slice or image, focus on what is between one frame and the next. It is the same. One realizes that this ‘sameness’ is there always and does not disappear simply because there is a new picture to look at. The picture rises out of the in between and subsides back into the in between. Soon discovered is the all pervasive nature of the in between.

moon newsletter dec 2014The Moon in the Tarot deck, XVIII is the card chosen for December. Ever changing the Moon is a reflection of the state of human emotions that sometimes lie deeply buried. For centuries there has been a disregarding of this part of what makes us human. There are times when we do not realize the extent to which we avoid feeling. Communicating what we feel lies further yet from our reality. The Moon, no matter what the phase encourages connection to the various depths and levels of our being. Wherever the Moon is in your natal chart will be the place where vulnerability is most apparent; where the ability to ignore what is sequestered is most difficult.

As such we have a certain fear of the Moon and its contents. When the Moon shows up in a reading it indicates a need for exploration of these areas of susceptibility for the purpose of moving through what might be seen as weaknesses in order to be free of ‘need’ and dependency those aspects that create limitation here. As the Moon displays itself brightly in the classic Rider-Waite deck, we are reminded that even if we venture into the dark and shadowy area of hidden emotion we can not become lost there. The way back, into the light is a constant.

The number 18 or 9 is the number of human evolution. The implication being that if we are to evolve, the way ‘forward’ is to forge through and the Moon symbolizes all that is inherent to our being; that is, what is prior to first breath, all our breaths here and all that is in ‘leaving’. We are of course concerned with so much more in terms of emotional existence than a Moon in our charts say in Pisces. It is however through this Moon in Pisces that all emotional function moves. It could be an interesting month to notice how you express your Moon as transiting Moon shifts through one sign after the other beginning with the beginning—Aries, I seek self or I am.

How comfortable are you with expressing your self and how you feel? December 3rd the Moon moves into Taurus at which time you might take note of the level of emotional security you possess. On the 5th Moon is in Gemini. As the communicators of the zodiac, notice how adept you are at sharing with others what you might be feeling. On the 7th Moon is in Cancer where our feelings are nurtured to provide us with a greater sense of security or not. Notice how you nurture your self to promote inner stability.

On the 9th Moon is in Leo the sign of sharing the light of the Sun. How does the condition of your emotional expression allow you to shine? December 12th the Moon moves on into Virgo where we seek to be of service. How does your emotional essence contribute to this desire we have to serve? On the 14th Moon is in Libra and we venture into the realm of other. When there are two the need is to balance and this is Libras quest. Therefore observe how your emotional state contributes to your state of balance.

Scorpio, December 17th= I will. Our emotional depth affects the ability to ‘succeed’.
Sagittarius, December 19th= I know. This has a direct relationship to the understanding of emotional freedom.
Capricorn, December 21st= I utilize. Here we recognize the need for emotion as a part of the structure that is humanity but our strength lies in appreciation of the structure.
Aquarius, December 23rd= I evolve. The emotional being is well integrated in Aquarius so that detachment from that which would cause lack of freedom is arrived at.
Pisces, December 25th= I perceive. Our true essence is ‘all that is’. All emotion is an expression of that.

If you choose to work with the Moon throughout December as you gaze upon its changing form by night know that it is a reflection of what lies deep within your heart; that they are the same though the heart remains unchanged even as the emotions cycle through it on the way to peace and love. It is a wonderful ‘time’ to deepen into the truth and to express that joy for the world to partake. Thank you and happy holidays!

New Moon November 22, 2014 @ 0 degrees 7 minutes Sagittarius 07:32 a.m. EST
04:32 a.m. PST

“Our life is not a means to finding truth; life is the expression of truth…
Where the truth may lead is revealed by our life, not in advance of it. The truth is that life is filled with risk, and to live truth is to live constantly at risk.” ~Robert Wolfe, Abiding in Nondual Awareness

It is the task of Sagittarius to boldly convey the Truth discovered during the long night of the soul in the realms of Scorpio. During a New Moon we yearn for pure expression of that which is intuited on a deep level. There is no light to reflect what might exist consciously. There is freedom to express purely from a place of awareness—the fresh perspective of the infant. For an adult this does feel risky and yet the ‘reward’, knowing Self, outweighs the fear.

The story of Saturn continues to play a dominant role in this New Moon chart as it conjuncts the Sun/Moon and squares Jupiter ruler of these two in Sagittarius. Jupiter, great element of lightening up, accessing wisdom as well as a sense of humor. We may have been taking things a little too seriously of late, feeling burdened and limited. Many thoughts have the potential to limit. So numerous are our ‘burdens’ that taking time to define them, in Saturn fashion, becomes a waste of energy. Suffice it to say that every blow to body, mind, spirit has left an imprint that can act to obscure the path ‘home’.

For some few it is obvious, for others as we wake up to say, the nature of the life we have been living as false, there is a need to ‘clean house’ of beliefs that have kept us in a holding pattern that never allows us to take off. The combination of aspects during this New Moon are not radical or bound to lead us to an edge that requires a leap. They are a somewhat subtle and persistent continuation of evolutionary energy that promotes the slow dissolution of collective patterns/beliefs that eventually one by one, open us to Truth. Obviously if the mud you waddle in is deep, it can take you longer to reach the shore.

The ability to make decisions at this time may be hampered by opposing forces—that of critical thinking (Mercury conjunct Saturn in Scorpio) versus brazen desire (Venus in Sagittarius). The result of this may be inaction or conversely action that uses wisdom to fuel any efforts to create monumental change in the area of personal psyche; a reminder that Uranus is still squared by Pluto and therefore the underlying impetus to evolve and transform for the highest good is a deep motivation. As these are outer planets they affect all levels of activity here.

Jupiter square to Mercury/Saturn tends to push for generosity of spirit rather than the spirit of dissection, severity, discipline—being discerning as to what does not allow one to be open–open hearted, open minded; moving past self criticism to self love and out of isolation to inclusion.

“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” ~Carl Jung

Perhaps the most dangerous secrets are what we keep from our selves—unwilling to look inside for fear that what we find is either too dreadful to deal with, or that we are agreeing to take full responsibility for our life, daunting no matter how this is approached. No other way than to face whatever need be faced on the way to liberation. Fear has kept us captive far too long. With Mercury conjunct Saturn in Scorpio one may be very fearful and at the same time find the courage to approach what does not serve one with the precision of a surgeon, fully capable of slicing away the diseased portions of this form in order to uncover healthy tissue beneath.

And recall that Jupiter in Leo shares the lion’s facility for bravery in aspect to these two making it easier to delve even a little deeper than one might otherwise find possible. Jupiter wants to say, “there now everything will be just fine”. And Sagittarius displays audacity that would mock those of a timid nature. All we need do is remember some famous Sagittarians to know their tendency to forge boldly forward where others fear to tread. This group includes, Martin Luther King Jr., Winston Churchill, Noam Chomsky, Walt Disney, Tina Turner, Miley Cyrus, Steven Spielberg, Jon Stewart etc.

During these few days preceding and following this New Moon focus on challenging your self to uncover something previously lying hidden from view. If your intention is clear you will probably find that others show up as willing guides for your creative endeavor. These are gifts and should be accepted with appreciation. And while you are at it, don’t take your self too seriously. You can’t make a mistake.

Full Moon November 6, 2014 in Taurus: Venus Rising

Full Moon November 6, 2014 @14 degrees Taurus 26 minutes 5:23 p.m. EST
2:23 p.m. PST

“There is elegance and grace in knowing that is reflected to us in everything we witness. It begins when a thought no longer elicits reaction.”

Gazing upon the Full Moon is to know stillness. In this moment there is no judgment, no desire to have it be anything other than it is. We have gazed upon this moon so many times. It is so much a part of our awareness that there is only peace as we arrive home. We are in a place of utter acceptance. The experience fills us to overflowing; boundaries fade and the moment becomes the unending sense of not two but one.

The Full Moon in Taurus is the awakening of the self assured. “I have”. In the early stages of discovery is acquisition until satisfaction is achieved. Then we stand in fullness that has nothing to do with anything outside of one self. This Full Moon in Taurus is Venus complete. The vision of the goddess rising from the sea, like the Full Moon, there is perfection and we ask for no more or different or better. We are content and there is peace. We no longer deny our selves or punish our selves by resisting acknowledgement of the source from which all notion of security is derived.

full moon november 6 2014 chart

At this time is the potential for ‘elegant transformation’. The swan, head bowed, focused only on the mirror-like surface supporting it as it glides easily through time and space. The 5th harmonic of this Full Moon chart (the 360 degree circle divided by 5=72 degrees-two planets affected by this aspect called a quintile, have the unique ability to usher one into a place of potent manifestation once we traverse the rocky landscape of physical reality) has an exact t-square between Mars and the Sun/Moon opposition. Mars in Aquarius has the vitality to move us through the portal to understanding the fragility of physical existence or duality to the knowing of the Self eternal and the subsequent manifestation of the gifts particular to each individual.

In the natal chart for November 6 is a conjunction of Mars and Pluto in Capricorn—the movement and further disintegration of structures unsupportive to ‘healthy’ growth. The aspect is exact on November 10th and is accompanied by Venus edging closer to Saturn and a square from Jupiter; deep examination of personal desire that can influence all of our experiences, limiting clarity and Self expression—coming from the heart. At the same time is a sextile from Mars/Pluto to Pallas Athena in Scorpio and a sextile to Chiron in Pisces. This geometry is referred to as a small talent triangle that defines the nature of the ‘gift’. We have access to insight and wisdom and a sense of independence to successfully heal wounds that lie, in some cases, far below the surface. In fact the combination of these planets—Mars/Pluto and Pallas and Chiron in these signs—Capricorn, Scorpio and Pisces is a prescription for significant mending of the warp and weft of humanity—affecting each of us equally whether we are aware of this or not.

We continue in our daily endeavors perhaps oblivious to the powerful energetics occurring about us and so smoothly can these transitions carry us from A to B to C that we one day wake up without pain. And it may register barely an ah, hah.

Venus was prominent by aspect in the recent New Moon (conjunct the luminaries October 23) and is again both by natural rulership of the Moon and through proximity to the Sun though separating now. We have had a long hard look at what we want and now as Venus approaches Saturn we have the opportunity to expel excess baggage.

“This road (to knowing Self) is passable, but it does steepen. If you are not intent in your direction, you may access the leveled detours. But if you do take the direct road, be prepared to jettison your cargo.” ~Robert Wolfe,  from Abiding in Nondual Awareness

Our ‘efforts’ are continuous and of this we may be unaware. When we glimpse the ‘light’ as we may through the familiar observation of a Full Moon and all comes to rest in the heart, baggage or no baggage, we recognize home. Without the conditioning however we are free to observe everything from a place of stillness. In these next few days we are led into a deeper and profound connection to this peace.

new moon oct 23 2014 chart

There is a vibrant energy that enfolds this New Moon/Solar Eclipse that will lead us into the light of Peace. Inner peace is outer peace is peace. No inner, no outer. Only the recognition that I am that! And then the ever present—abiding in that. Peace. Nothing is hidden though we are talking about a Sun, Moon,Venus and Pallas Athena conjunction in Scorpio. Everything is clear. Scorpio has the gift of inner knowing based upon deeply intuitive perception that can rise above judgment and definition. That is the essence of this New Moon—rising into clarity out of the story. The story serves to perpetuate our suffering. Some want what is not suffering.

For those who seek liberation from suffering there is a measure of wisdom that we can access now that allows us to see how we have been not been clear of our true nature. The eclipse acts as a gateway, the energy of which will continue to move us deeper into knowing for some time to come. It will only partially block the light of the Sun so that we are not immersed in darkness, unable to ‘find our way’. The ‘way’ will be so very apparent to us. Pallas Athena, a diamond on top of a cross, is symbolic for crystal clarity in physical reality.

This has the potential to awaken one from the illusion that I am this body/mind. There is a body and a mind but it occurs in physical reality as the absolute Reality not as anything separate from. There is therefore no separate individual. If there is no separate individual, there is no one to suffer. There is no thing that needs fixing, improving, modifying in any way. Absolute Reality is everything so that the concepts of more, better or different have no meaning except as a thought. All thoughts, being based on the past, have little relevance to me now.

What has relevance to me now? Just what is occurring in this moment. And I accept everything in this moment as an expression of the Absolute without judgment. No expectation. No suffering.

Scorpio has an awareness of the cycle that is humanity. That is birth, life, death and regeneration. This can inhibit the knowing of the true Self, the belief that this is what we are and destined to die. Scorpio may have a preoccupation with death. Scorpio also may know that death is simply another part of ‘life’. And that as Eternal essence we never die.
it is just what is happening not different than anything else that is happening. This is a very liberating realization.
“All die but there is no grief because the Indweller lives. Death is only the five elements returning to themselves.” ~Sri H.W.L Poonja (Papaji)

Venus in Scorpio. What does she want? What is left when one has been there and done that repeatedly. Venus in Scorpio has experienced a lot—shadow and perversity and hunger. There is only one thing to satisfy the hunger and that is waking up right now to the Truth of Self. There is nothing else that brings lasting satisfaction except knowing that I am all that I have ever sought. And so it may be that in these few days preceding and following this lunar phase that you are possessed of the clarity that brings you home to truth. When nothing else is left and Scorpio ruled by Pluto has the power to eliminate all that does not serve us, bare to the bone, we recognize that this is my Self. I cannot define it, name it or comprehend it with the mind. It is therefore the most obvious thing to know the Self as all that is.

The result of this discovery is abiding in Peace. It is where we began. So that once we strip away the artifice our hearts express from the limitless ‘pool’ of emptiness that we call Love and Peace and Joy but that simply is. There is not a notion here of war. It simply will not exist. Mars the God of War (and Peace) is the other planet that aspects this New Moon. It is sextile, (60 degrees) from these luminaries in Sagittarius. As the ‘Hunter’ who seeks truth, his aggressive nature erupts as the passion to discover Reality. His arrow pierces the veil of illusion revealing what has always been right Here. When I turn my attention from the many distractions of the external world and have the absence of mind to Be in the stillness, then I discover what has always been known and my quest has ended.

At this New Moon in Scorpio it may not seem all that easy. Dismemberment is rarely comfortable. We may find that we linger in the shadow or indulge our selves more than usual but when hunger still has not been appeased, there will be planted the seed for self inquiry and awakening. Patience and acceptance are requirements for what takes place during this New Moon.

(As we know eclipses have been occurring for centuries. Everything here has been occurring for centuries—and moving and changing–so that the recognition of Truth becomes easier, simpler more obvious as we spiral out of density toward the light. I know this is part of the story but it has very positive ramifications and that is a judgment! Communication is at times a vital piece contributing to deeper understanding. )

Good Monday Morning…one day after

Greeting you one day after but with a message for this Full Moon tomorrow: practice  not taking things personally. In a time that could be fraught with contention, it is wise to just observe another’s behaviour knowing that it has little to do with you–if there was a you for it to have anything to do with. We are each a screen upon which we project what is being experienced in any moment that may be based upon input from various past but related experiences that might not involve you in any way at any time. Is this something you want to attach to in a way that causes discomfort or down right suffering? Probably not.

The issue of there not being a YOU–it does not mean that the physical body and the mind do not exist, it means that as something separate from the Absolute, they do not. The Absolute is referred to as “all that is” because? Well, because it is everything. That means “I am everything”–no separate existence; it is not possible.

Two Steps Of the Journey by Mahmud Shabistari

The journey of the pilgrims is two steps and no more:

One is the passing out of selfhood,

And one toward mystical union with the Friend.

(Sufi poetry abounds with symbolism so that the term Friend refers to the One or Absolute presence. It was a protective measure lest they be named ‘infidels’.)
