Full Moon July 12th, 2014 in Capricorn

Full Moon July 12th, 2014 @ 20 degrees Capricorn 03 minutes 07:25 EDT
04:25 PDT

When we look up at the Full Moon this month we see an image upon which we have gazed so many times before with various emotions and thoughts perhaps influenced by the sign that is occupied by our luminous friend. Perhaps by what we feel reflected to us through the light that is our nature—all else will fall away. The structures that we have built for safety and security fall away and the desire for freedom and the subsequent realization of our lack of freedom are plainly evident. The Heart opens and the need for structure is no longer defined.

This all a tremendous experience in Capricorn as the sea-goat has made its way to the mountain top and with lofty view realizes that the structure is like a ladder but as I never needed to climb anywhere, the ladder serves no purpose and what has been learned is now applied to serve the structure that is humanity. I discover my humanity deep within the truth of Be-ing.

No need to whine, worry or wonder you that stand between your suffering and surrender.
You cannot resist and live to tell the story! We’re all going down—but to rise into the light of liberty and joyous community, the structure that exists for eternity. When all else fails, Love prevails.

While we are at it here, might as well feel deeply all that is taking place—the sadness, grief, anger—anger moves us—anger is the energy that takes us from A to B. In sadness we sit. We should deny none of it. All of it is the One.

Capricorn is an earth sign, an opportunity to ground into physicality with the benefit of our vision to Be “that” or Love here—deep, intimate oneness in this body, here, now.

There are several planets shifting signs or direction in the two weeks between this Full Moon and the next New Moon (July 26th). Not a common occurrence. This represents a time of change that allows for deeper feeling. Mercury moves into Cancer on the 12th/13th depending on which coast you live on. Thought and communication originate from a deep place of feeling; less verbal expression. Venus follows into Cancer on the 18th. It is about what we desire that lifts us out of old patterns of want.

On July 16th Jupiter moves into Leo. All of our grand gestures and wisdom are devoted to what feels good. It is not about short term gain or what strokes the ‘ego’ necessarily but what supports our long term well-being. Leo rules the heart. What a heart expansion we are experiencing!

Saturn goes direct! July 20th, for some, is the long awaited date for the task master moving again and therefore not hammering home the same point over and over. We can now get on with what we have discovered while rooting through the cellar in the dark, digging up stuff that has stubbornly evaded scrutiny. Or that has disguised it self as necessary to our survival. And too, we may have been faced with fears based upon some very old thoughts that arise then are seen to be nothing more than the breeze that rustles the leaves. For some this may feel like a strong wind rattling the shutters.

We settle into the comfort of knowing the Self once again in peace and Love. The healing comes easily to us, spreads quickly from the center outward soothing, caressing and nurturing in a way that only Truth can. It has slipped between the resistance and the beliefs from the inside out and shattered all the incongruities that have just never made sense giving rise to numerous, numerous questions that of course have no answer.

Then on July 21st Uranus stations retrograde. What happens when the planet of evolution, change and awakening slows down in Aries (I seek Self)? More internal inquiry. What stands in the way of Liberty? This question may be asked so many times during the course of a lifetime, especially for those determined to get to where they have always been. Abrupt change is very possible and may become ordinary; dropping everything that has always seemed fine in favor of a quest that takes one into the unknown. Instinctively we know this is where our truth lies, beyond the known world.

The will and the way join hands in gracious allegiance. By the 24th as the New Moon approaches and Mars slides into Scorpio we should be filled with insight, many ah, hah moments that bring a smile—further relaxation into our perfection.

There is an intensity to these days that manifests in various physical issues from exhaustion to a disorienting dizziness and feelings of nausea. There are no reminders of what should be, how one should or should not conduct themselves. Instead each individual is called upon to utilize their intuition as to what best serves them. And many things are available to us; many beautiful people are present to show the way if we find our selves in a place where we want to see our own luminous reflection. The doors are open just walk through.

We may begin by gazing at this Full Moon. Being filled with gratitude and nothing else is a moment of Love and joy. And that is all there is.

Good Monday Morning…Sweet Surrender (con’t)

Tripping Over Joy

What is the difference
Between your experience of Existence
And that of a saint?

The saint knows
That the spiritual path
Is a sublime chess game with God

And that the Beloved
Has just made such a Fantastic Move

That the saint is now continually
Tripping over Joy
And bursting out in Laughter
And saying, “I Surrender!”

Whereas, my dear,
I am afraid you still think
You have a thousand serious moves.”
― Hafiz, I Heard God Laughing: Poems of Hope and Joy

I wake up for nine days with the chin of an eternally optimistic chocolate Lab resting on my hand or arm, with tail wagging and bright eyes imploring, “let’s play!” Because she is the sweetest and most well behaved critter on four legs, I surrender to the hour, 6:15, throw on some clothes, harness her up and we explore the neighborhood–new to me and always new to her no matter how many times she has sniffed that patch of ground.

She doesn’t know me but loves me regardless and I don’t know her but the feelings are mutual. It is the wonderful thing about dogs and I personally am grateful for a little extra LOVE this week! Thank you Lily.

Let my soul smile through my heart and my heart smile through my eyes, that I may scatter rich smiles in sad hearts.”–Paramahansa Yogananda (courtesy jonroumain.com)

…sharing the richness of the moment and all its inseparable beauty; instantly joining the effervescence of light and joy that illuminate this experience of pure Being. Let us join hands and spread the wealth!

Good Monday Morning…It is the Same.

A Different View

Pale grey skies

pierced by red shingled roofs

and a line of trees,

ragged silhouette upon a soft horizon.

In between here and there,

metal towers carry rows of wire for miles

across narrow strips of vacant land,

a slice of green in an otherwise homogenous zone

of concrete and pavement and compliance.

Still, the ocean roars,

the late afternoon breeze still brings with it

an invitation to roam;

to discover that there is nothing between here and there

except the knowing of love and beauty

that is the nature of everything–

never mind the appearance to me while glancing over this very different view.

It is the same.

Full Moon April 15 2014/Total Lunar Eclipse

Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse April 15, 2014 @ 25 deg. Libra 16 min.
03:42 a.m. EDT 00:42 a.m. PDT

A full moon is warm light in the vast darkness, a familiar ‘friend’ that captivates and inspires us to creative passion, romance and the deep fascination of home. We have many memories of the full moon over years, decades and centuries; of being seduced by gorgeous abundance, pacified by constant stillness and hypnotized by thoughts that carry us beyond all limitations. We melt into the allure of hundreds of moments of simply Being in the presence of “that” in splendiferous expression.

There have been many reports about the series of total lunar eclipses that begins with this full moon (the others are on October 8, 2014, April 4, 2015 and September 28, 2015) and what they might portend. I am in favor of adopting the point of view offered by Geoff Gaherty writing for Starry Night Education at space.com

“Associations between “disastrous” events and normal astronomical events are all fabrications of the human mind, as people attempt to find explanations for why disasters affect them. Because of the Internet and cable news channels, people now hear reports of disasters from around the world, including earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions, which they never would have been aware of in the past. It’s almost inevitable that something bad will happen right after an eclipse or a visit from a comet.

As an ardent skywatcher who derives much pleasure from beautiful events like lunar eclipses, it saddens me that there are “prophets of doom” in the world who view these life-enriching events as portents of disaster.

The good news about these forthcoming lunar eclipses is that all four will be visible to most skywatchers in North America”.

Simply to enjoy rather than fret. That is not to say that what is occurring with a few planets is benign. We are being affected by the t-square soon to be grand cross in cardinal signs. We can perhaps all attest to a degree of greater intensity, insecurity that is affecting us in some way depending on what your particular experience is now.

Everyone will receive a shot of enlightenment. It would be hard to avoid it with Mercury exactly conjunct Uranus at the same degree as Pluto and Jupiter only minutes away. An enormous dose of inspirational, transformational, transcendent energy rippling through the collective consciousness and executing legions of stifling patterns that have insisted on strong attachment to the mind. Liberated! Oh, joy.

Pluto opposition Jupiter, square to Uranus opposition Mars (this by the 22nd will be exact we none the less have been feeling the effects of this for a couple of weeks with the ongoing square of Uranus/Pluto for longer of course) is not a trivial matter relatively speaking. Some people have been dealing with physical manifestations of this energy while others are being pressured to ‘release’ on all levels what isn’t working or whatever is cluttering, all that is superfluous or feeds the illusion. What may have seemed a monumental task in the past is now easily approachable and effortlessly accomplished.

Resistance is an unnecessary reference to our experience. Gratitude is our reference point and every full moon is a reminder of the miracle of life and what a blessing it is! Never mind what sign the moon is in. Except we might mention that moon in Libra is peace, balance and harmony that only contributes to the grace we are receiving via what may feel like a supreme kick in the butt. No, it is grace! It only feels like running into a two by four. Just wait a few days, until your senses return—or, hopefully not. Walking around in a dazed state, a silly smile on your face that won’t seem to go even if you try.

Self and other, Self/other, slother, loth, ot, o=O. Erase the line.

Observe the moon without any thought whatsoever. At some time you may become aware of a little smile that has crept over your face that feels much bigger than it is as it has started from within and won’t stop.
