2026: New Year, New Moon and New Beginning

We are already complete. All we need is the clarity to recognize the wholeness that is us.” ~Rod Stryker

Sometime near the last week of December 2025 there was a distinct moment of feeling that we had ‘turned a page’. There was no visible evidence for this. No details. Just a realization that we, human beings, had completed a long cycle of experience; of repetitive action based on prior conditioning.

That page turning closed a chapter, maybe ended a book. The subsequent feeling of completion was a relief and a cause for celebration as it is not just an individual feeling. It is a collective feeling and is being experienced globally by so many.

That feeling is an energetic wave that, due to rising frequency, allows us to be more receptive to the many seismic changes we experience now and moving forward into 2026. We exit the static and align with the fluid. The river of life that ushers us hither and yon becomes the refreshing source of everything possible.

Said the river: imagine everything you can imagine, then keep on going.” ~Mary Oliver

Do not be bogged down by details or by thoughts that bind us to the past. The only truth we find there is the great need for change. Change by which we find our selves moved forward ‘over night’. Every field of human experience is seeing great leaps in positive discovery. More to come naturally.

The book we complete may be accessed through memory only but those memories will become distant quickly as we step from one experience, a rather negative one based on fear, confusion and mistrust to the higher frequency that we come to access, as Pamela Gregory says ‘living from the inside out, not the outside in’.

There, deep within, we find the still point that really defies definition. It is ‘beyond’ what our mind may imagine. The emptiness there can feel like deep peace. In this calm there is a sense of stability knowing that I am not this body/mind; that life is not so much about doing but being open to that which shows up. This relieves one of the constant thought, “I must do something”.

Our answer does not lie in all the human activity and conditioned thoughts but in the silence that weaves its way through the chaos. When we listen our questions are answered. The day to day is simplified. Yes, “without my interference the world gets along just fine” (Robert Wolfe) and without my desire to control or make something happen the universe delivers to my doorstep everything ‘in a timely manner’.

Where does the ocean meet the sky? The grey of distant waters meet the pale sky? There is a line there, the horizon. It separates heaven from earth. Some days the contrast is pronounced and that line is accentuated. Other days, the waters are less dark and the sky more. The horizon line almost disappears. The beyond that is not visible but is easier to reach. There is no separation. ‘I’ am not separate from that. That being the eternal, infinite source. It is a meditation that takes us inward, to the still point.

Why do we want to see beyond and find the still point? We will see in 2026 that the frequency and the speed of change can be unsettling for those who are adapting to fluidity. A tethered boat struggles in the storm. When set free it is carried a loft.

This first New Moon of the New Year in Capricorn sets the stage for what is portended to be a highly energetic year. Capricorn is strength, determination, perseverance, resourceful. It is a cardinal earth sign that makes decisions for the collective. As the third to last sign of the Zodiac Capricorn is aware of the need for structure that supports growth and climbing to the mountaintop.

With Sun, Moon, Mercury and Mars all in Capricorn we have an opportunity during this New Moon to set an intention of reaching the mountaintop, the higher frequency that serves all of us as a wiser expression of human nature. It is a firm platform to stand upon as we journey through the storm.

This is the year of the Fire Horse. Those two words need little description. Suffice it to say action that happens quickly, perhaps erratically, highly creative and unpredictable. The element itself, fire, purifying.

Though we are winding down from the peak of solar activity of 2024-25 we can still expect solar flares to be more frequent than in the interim years. This activity typically can be destabilizing to Earth infrastructure.

April 26 Uranus moves into Gemini, the mutable air sign. The last time Uranus was in Gemini, was 1941-48. According to the Farmer’s Almanac Uranus in Gemini “indicates a period of unexpected changes and radical ideas that will reshape communication and society for years to come.”

In the sign of the twins, there will be advances in communication, technology, education, and transportation. We are seeing these changes occurring rapidly now. Self-driving cars, flying cars, AI, advancements in medicine based on new technology.

Uranus stands for revolution for evolution so we are prepared for shifts to occur in collective perspection toward a community that serves everyone.

Uranus is electric energy. As such the nervous system, ruled by Gemini may need extra care as electrical overload can contribute to mental instability (Mercury, Gemini’s ruler relates to the mind). If we get caught up in disinformation and information excess the nervous system may suffer.

It is valuable during these few days around the Capricorn New Moon to access one’s ability to stand firm in the storm and continue to rise above the chatter and chaos. Ask your self what is it you focus on during moments of challenge? If you find your self connecting to external stimuli become adept at sinking into the still point of peace and calm. With patience and focus it is as easy as the opposite, being swept up in world events.

We begin to notice that the still point is ever there, unchanging and welcoming to us. While what goes on around us is unstable, always in flux and certainly not peaceful. It seems like an easy choice. Suffering and drama can be addictive however. To overcome any addiction we must change our mind. Uranus in Gemini is all about change of mind.

People don’t realize that now is all there ever is; there is no past or future except as memory or anticipation in your mind.”~ Eckhart Tolle

There is no memory or retentive faculty based on lasting impression. What we designate as memory is but increased responsiveness to repeated stimuli.” ~ Nikola Tesla

Life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quickly you hardly catch it going.” ~ Tennessee Williams

“Decide that wherever you are, is the best place there is. Once you start comparing, there’s no end to it.” ~Sodo Yokoyama

Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them-that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” ~ Lao Tzu

Still…

Today is still
and so the ocean
though, cool air
and rolling waves,
damp sand and distance
with the scent of eternity.

If the defining feature of our future is uncertainty, then we all need to become improvisers.” ~Srinija Srinivasan, Daily Good, 12.9.25

(Improvise def.: if you improvise, you make or do something using whatever you have or without having planned it in advance.)

To improvise we are in the moment, with only what is available in this moment. This precludes one from relying on the past. Instead we are challenged to tune into a greater source that offers a multitude of possibility. We listen, engage the senses and go with the infinite and eternal flow.

Improvisation means coming to the situation without rigid expectations or preconceptions. The key to improvisation is motion—you keep going forward, fearful or not, living moment to moment. That’s how life is.” ~Bobby McFerrin (Don’t Worry, Be Happy)

In the Bardo we were brave and confronted some of what ails us. It is an individual discovery that serves us to better understand our limitations. This contributes to collective discovery. Everything moves forward together. Individually each step may seem unique. Yet all steps contribute to the same thing and that is greater awareness.

Even as technology seems to herd us into corners we may still find freedom in the boundary-less inner world that expands into infinity. We race unfettered toward an undefined goal embracing every moment with spontaneous delight. There are no rules or laws, expectations or judgment. There is air to breathe and motion to guide us. Openness, space and possibility.

For all of us prepared to dip the ladle a little deeper, to stir the bottom of the pot and find hidden, those nuggets of creativity that lie waiting, this is the moment. This year, that rapidly draws to a close, has been one of challenge. It may have resembled the trials of Sisyphus, a king of Corinth who was condemned by Zeus to roll an enormous boulder uphill. Every time he neared his destination the boulder rolled back downhill. This was his eternal struggle.

The never-ending challenge is over. There is no boulder and there is no hill! There is only this moment of possibility that awaits in which, when I listen, all answers arrive. Often the answer is so simple that I have not been able to hear it.

This New Moon in Sagittarius is a moment to feel into an unknown capacity for the creative and unfettered self. Sagittarius is a mythological being, half man, half horse. The human having tamed the beast within seeks greater awareness. He is an archer with bow and arrow raised to the heavens, symbolic of seeking truth. Sagittarians desire the freedom to explore all possibilities and move through life as free spirits. The curiosity of Gemini, their opposite, becomes deeper exploration in Sag.

With ruling planet Jupiter (in Taurus) figuring prominently in this new moon chart, we are inclined to act with wisdom and a sense of justice. (Be aware of tendencies to feel righteous or all knowing as this can be a shadow expression of Jupiter).

There is ease in this chart as Jupiter is in favorable aspect to Uranus in Taurus and Saturn/Neptune in Pisces. This forms the infamous small talent trine that allows for brilliant use of creative resources. Uranus of course is in favor of evolution at all costs and the Neptune/Saturn conjunction in Pisces has a ‘responsible, focused’ vision that upholds greater spiritual exploration.

The ease of this combination of planets is based on seeds that were planted during the solar eclipse March 29th of this year. That occurred in Aries, I seek Self. Now in Sagittarius we realize I am what I seek and that allows for an unlimited experience in this phenomenal world.

From a ‘higher vista’ we see clearly, as in the World card XXI of the major arcana. Our experiences have been plenty and as we ‘have been there done that’ on so many occasions, we need not be distracted by choice. We feel only the movement that moves everything and we too move. It is easy.

The winds of grace blow all the time. All we need do is set our sails.” ~Ramakrishna

The squeeze shows up in the Sun/Moon and Venus square aspect to the same Saturn/Neptune conjunction. It would seem that we can’t exactly run wild, hither and yon without paying attention to the deeper calling—to attend to deeper desires that Venus in Sagittarius can have when challenged by the need to continue learning (Saturn) and our listening to the call home (Neptune).

Finally, Mars in early Capricorn, the manifestor of the universe, is next door to Sun/Moon and square to Saturn/Neptune. The energy of Capricorn is a powerful dynamo. Tireless and never without resources, Mars in Capricorn will provide us with ample motivation to move. Ruled by Saturn, Capricorn is reliable, focused and determined to provide that which supports us in these wild times.

At the end of this year there are bound to be revelations and ah, hah moments. Whatever projects you may have perculating know that 2026, the year of the Fire Horse, is in essence a whole year of Sagittarian accomplishment fueled by great vision and a ‘knowing’ which expediates the creative process. AI is a significant contributor to the speed with which we advance and has the ability to reflect to us our own shortcomings. We’re listening.

In these accelerated times we can feel challenged and comfortable at the same time. Challenged to open up and comfortable knowing that that is all that is required of me, to open up. I am free of thoughts that life should be any way in particular. We have become aware that ‘my thoughts create my reality’ and as such have more freedom to express ourselves from a truer source.

May our openness guide us to care for each other in new ways and to touch deeply in a way that awareness allows.

Discover latent abilities or hone those you are in the process of developing. This workshop is an overview of the tools available for intuitive development and consultation—tarot, astrology, life after life communication; becoming aware of beliefs that may hinder clarity and hence the potential for a more receptive vessel.

Tarot cards are a powerful tool for opening the inner eye. Their pictorial symbolism speaks directly to our prime form of communication; something that is inherent to all people. With Tarot we connect on a deep inner level.

Astrology, also a symbolic language has many more facets inherent to its story. An ancient practice it has evolved into a system capable of psychological and spiritual analysis, prediction and location to mention a few areas where it has value. There are many facts about a natal chart to be assimilated, numerous books to be read which the intuitive nature can greatly assist with. There is basic knowledge that can be learned quickly to give one an in and make the entire process seem less daunting.

Life after life communication or mediumship is an area of intuitive experience that has received a good deal of attention recently. The Long Island Medium and John Edward demonstrate the impact of connecting with those who have crossed over. Issues that were left unfinished find resolution. Loved ones gain deeper insight into themselves and those who are no longer in a body. Healing is facilitated and evolution occurs on many levels.
